How to Grow Your Own Food
-
Jun 30 2008

Just a quick update on the performance of my rain collection system. It’s a 1000 litres tank connected to one half of the garage roof which is an area of about 20 m2. Yesterday I emptied the tank completely into a new pond and went to bed at 23 p.m. During the night there must have been some heavy rain because almost 200 litres were collected. Later on I looked up the weather data and the report said 8 mm of rain.
That’s close to perfect: Working outdoors in the daytime, collecting rain in the nighttime.
