What Are Heirloom Seeds
Aug 11
Heirloom seeds are free. Usually heirloom plants are the ones that have been free for more than 50 years. They will grow into plants that the world has never seen before. Well not that unique but in the same way as brothers and sisters look alike and like their parents. Sometimes the plants will be strong and resistant to diseases and their genes will be passed on to the next generation. Sometimes they will not be able to reproduce or live a short life due to the new generation of pests or weather changes. Some of them will have a new interesting taste and we will keep them close. Heirloom seeds you’ll take from the plants you’ve just grown, which you grew from the seeds that have been in your family for generations. The pollination happens out in the open air, ensuring that you’ll get fresh genes mixed into your plants. New strong ones to keep up with the ever changing world.
