Last year my strawberries were protected by a chicken wire mesh but as I’m scaling up my garden in size it’s not practical to use that kind of protection against birds. The best thing would probably be a large plastic netting that could easily be spread out over the strawberries and easily be removed again.

Just have to think of something to scare off cats as well…
