Last year my strawberries were protected by a chicken wire mesh but as I’m scaling up my garden in size it’s not practical to use that kind of protection against birds. The best thing would probably be a large plastic netting that could easily be spread out over the strawberries and easily be removed again.

Just have to think of something to scare off cats as well… (Hmm, maybe a CD player with barking dogs?)
